Within the framework of a joint project of the European Union and the Stable Development Program, Volozhin district received financial support for creation of a “green route”. The strategy of tourism sphere development in Volozhin district has been worked out, three ecological museums have been opened, information boards have been installed along the route and its map has been printed.

A multifunctional ecological centre has been created in the village of Stankovo, where excursions to an old landowner’s estate and stagecoach drives in a picturesque park are organized.

On the territory of National Park “Narochanskiy” 15 tourist stops and 5 recreation facilities have been created. The National Park organizes foot tourist routes, ornithological tours, water trips. The excursion program is presented by 15 excursion routes, 7 of which pass through the park territory.

Altogether, 556 recreation zones have been created in the republic, mostly in Vitebsk region – 224, and Brest region – 94.
